Tests on tiles

Wall and floor tiles must meet the requirements of EN 14411 and in addition in the Netherlands they must also meet the KOMO guarantee requirements. Various characteristics are periodically checked for the purposes of verification.

These include:

• visual aspects,
• shape characteristics,
• water absorption,
• density,
• breaking strength,
• abrasive resistance,
• impact resistance,
• glaze hardness,
• glaze cracking resistance and
• frost-resistance.

All activities are RvA accredited.

In addition to products fired from clay we can also tests tiles made from other materials.
