Tests on pavers

Clay pavers must meet the requirements of EN 1344 and in addition in the Netherlands they must also meet aspects associated with the KOMO guarantee (in Belgium the BENOR guarantee and in Germany an "Überwachung"). Various characteristics are periodically checked for the purposes of verification.

These include:

• damages,
• the average size,
• size range,
• water absorption,
• breaking strength,
• modulus of rupture,
• abrasion resistance,
• slip-/skid-restistance and
• frost-resistance.

All tests are RvA accredited.

In addition to products fired from clay, we can also test pavers and tiles made from other materials, for example concrete products and products made of natural stone.
