Leaching of shaped building materials

All construction materials that are used in or on Dutch soils must meet the requirements of the Dutch Soil Quality Decree. This means that requirements have been set for the composition and/or the leaching behaviour of these materials.

TCKI has been AP04 accredited to conduct this examination for both complete and abbreviated tests. TCKI is a laboratory that has been appointed by the Dutch Ministry of Housing, Planning and Environment.

For leaching behaviour, element concentrations of metals and anions are used to determine release behaviour and an emission from the product. This can be tested according to limit values.

In addition to clay products we can also test building materials made from other clay materials.
